[DevLog #1] Characters!! Characters…?


Hi cuties, Glimmer here! It has been quite a while since I posted here. I figured I’d give you a general update on how development is going, where the game stands, and all that fun stuff. And maybe make it a habit to post here more often?

Development for the game has been slow, but steady. As of today, the game is probably ~90% done mechanically. It just needs a large amount of the writing to be completed, which of course, is the hardest part for a project like this. But the exciting thing is, we are nearing the completion of three out of the planned seven character stories!

And, while we’re on that subject… characters. The writing process has been long, and complicated. It’s gotten to the point where Canni and I had to sit down and seriously discuss which characters to focus on and which may need to have their stories told in a future patch or DLC.

It’s never an easy thing to decide on when you’ve spend this long falling in love with your characters, but at the end of the day, we want the stories we tell to be complete and not rushed. So, at least a few of the originally planned characters are now going to take a smaller part in the story, with our plan to be to expand on them later.

But that being said, that brings up another new update. One non-playable character in particular that has generated a lot of positive support in the community is Romana. We’ve had multiple requests to make her a romanceable character, and you know what, Canni and I thought that was a wonderful idea. And so did her VA, Lady Kissez! So look out for her while exploring Elysium!
